পূজোর আমেজে মেতেছে মন, খুশিতে ভরল দু নয়ন,
কাঠি পরল ঢাকের ওপর, সেজে উঠেছে আমার শহর ||

Pujor ameje metechhe mon, Khushite bhorlo du noyon,
Kathi porlo dhaker opore, Seje utheche amaar shahar.

The mind is full of worship, the eyes are full of happiness,
The stick fell on the Dhak(Bengali Musical Instrument), my city has become wonderful.
